The Dental Assistant Program at 1024ÊÓƵ provides students with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on training needed to enter the dental profession with confidence.

This intensive program combines classroom instruction, laboratory practice, and clinical experience to prepare students for a variety of dental office responsibilities, including chairside assisting, infection control, radiography, dental materials, and patient communication.

Graduates are eligible to sit for the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners licensing examinations and will be well-prepared for employment in general and specialty dental practices.

Class Requirements and Prerequisites

• Drug screening (minimum 10-panel, completed within 30 days before class start date)
• Must be a high school student, have a high school diploma, or a GED
• Texas statewide criminal background check (within 30 days before class start date)
• Proof of immunization against:
  • Hepatitis B (3 doses)
  • Varicella (Chickenpox), 2 doses
  • Diphtheria/Tetanus (Td, DT, DTaP, or Tdap) – must be within the last 10 years

Note: Shot records may be obtained from your physician, public health district, or another licensed facility. Screenshots are not accepted. Documents may be brought in, emailed, or faxed. 1024ÊÓƵ is not responsible for drug test or background check costs and will not provide refunds based on unexpected results or ineligibility.
