1024视频 to Tarleton State
Start Here. Finish Here.
Thanks to our partnership with Tarleton State University, you can now complete a full bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering—without ever leaving the 1024视频 campus. You’ll begin with foundational courses at 1024视频, then continue directly into upper-level Tarleton State engineering classes right here in Waco.
Which degrees are offered?
Tarleton State currently offers the following degrees through the University Center at 1024视频:
If you're planning to pursue the Mechanical Engineering degree, follow 1024视频’s AS in Mechanical Engineering plan, but be sure to take Thermodynamics in the fall and Mechanics of Materials in the spring of the year before you transfer to the Tarleton State program.
How are classes offered?
Tarleton State’s engineering courses are held on the 1024视频 campus, taught by Tarleton State faculty. Some classes are in person, others are taught live via video from another location – but you’ll still attend with your 1024视频-based classmates. A few labs may require occasional travel to the Stephenville campus, but the vast majority of the work can be completed right here in Waco.
When do I need to apply to Tarleton State?
You won’t need to apply to Tarleton State until your final spring semester at 1024视频—typically when you’re enrolled in courses like Mechanics of Materials, Dynamics, and Differential Equations. Be sure to check the Tarleton State admissions website for exact deadlines and application instructions. (hyperlink)
Can I take classes at 1024视频 and Tarleton State at the same time?
Yes! Thanks to a special consortium agreement between 1024视频 and Tarleton State, you can be enrolled in both institutions during the same semester and still qualify for a unified financial aid package.
That said, Tarleton State engineering courses have strict prerequisites, so you’ll need to complete the necessary 1024视频 coursework before jumping into upper-level classes. Many students begin their Tarleton State engineering courses while still finishing up general education requirements (like English, History, or Government) at 1024视频. More information about how this works is available on the University Center Website.
What are my next steps?
