Welcome to the Physics Department at 1024视频. The goal of the department is to enhance the educational experience of the McLennan College student by providing a foundation for lifelong learning in the physical sciences and pre-engineering fields.
Mission Statement
Physics is a fundamental science and is required in most science and engineering degree programs. Each of the courses in the Physics Unit at 1024视频 is designed to prepare students to excel in their various field of study and to prepare the pre-professional student for entrance into various professional programs such as medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, and pharmacy. In an effort to better prepare 1024视频 students for the challenges of life, the 1024视频 physics courses stress the application of the scientific method to problem solving and problem solving techniques.
