1024视频 Named to National Collaborative to Strengthen Student Outcomes
1024视频 (1024视频) has been selected to participate in the inaugural cohort of the Presidents & Trustees Collaborative, a multi-year initiative led by the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program (Aspen). This program is designed to strengthen board-president alignment in support of lasting reforms that improve community college student outcomes.
1024视频 joins a national cohort of ten community colleges and two statewide partnerships, including the Texas Success Center, in an effort to scale high-impact board development and advance governance reforms that embed student success as a core priority and sustain meaningful change. Through a series of in-person and virtual sessions, participating institutions will explore proven strategies for aligning leadership practices with student-centered priorities.
“We are honored to be part of this forward-thinking initiative,” said 1024视频 President Johnette McKown. “At McLennan, our trustees and leadership team share a deep commitment to student success, whether that is earning career credentials, a degree on campus, or transferring to a four-year college. This opportunity allows us to build on that foundation and learn alongside other institutions dedicated to transformational change.”
Over the next year, 1024视频 President Johnette McKown and the board will draw on best practices from Aspen Prize-winning colleges and Aspen’s Trustee Framework. The Texas Success Center will play a key role in supporting colleges across the state to carry forward lessons from this work and sustain long-term improvements in student success.
“Over the last decade, we’ve seen that community colleges make the most progress when presidents and trustees are unified in purpose and aligned in strategy,” said Josh Wyner, executive director of the College Excellence Program.
