Tax Abatement Public Hearing Notice
The College will be holding a public meeting for discussion and possible action on approval of a proposed tax abatement agreement as required by the Texas Tax Code, section 312.207. Tax Abatement being considered:
Owner: Knauf Insulation, Inc.
Applicant: Knauf Insulation, Inc.
Reinvestment Zone: McGregor Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone #1
Location of Reinvestment Zone: The property on which the improvements will be built is an approximately 170 acre tract located in the McGregor Industrial Park.
Improvements: Approximately 600,000 s.f. manufacturing plant and related warehouse facility. Also, investment in a significant amount of manufacturing production equipment.
Capital Investment: $194,700,000 or more in real property improvements and personal property additions.
Job Creation: This project is expected to create a significant number of higher-paying jobs.
